Mathew Wilson Mathew Wilson's first visit to the Bahamas was in 1952. In 1990-92, he took a 26-foot Heavenly Twins catamaran, Terrapin, from England to Florida by way of the Carribean chain, the Turks and Caicos, and the full length of the Bahamas. His book about this voyage, Taking Terrapin Home, was published in 1994. He has returned to the Bahamas each year since then and has cruised there under both sail and power.
